Our current human rights campaigns have four areas of focus —Climate, Gender, Labor, Freedom of Expression, and Democracy.

We see climate change as a socio-political issue that impacts Filipinos’ lives, livelihoods, and lifestyles. Through our Climate Revolution program, we empower communities with initiatives like Climate School, the UnCoal Campaign, and Sustainability Dialogues. In 2015, we joined other groups in filing a petition with the Commission on Human Rights to investigate the human rights impact of climate change, marking the first global inquiry of its kind. We continue to advocate for holding polluters accountable and transitioning to renewable energy for a sustainable future rooted in human rights.
DAKILA champions the rights of women and the LGBTQIA+ community, advocating for equality, dignity, and protection under the law. We push for the passage of the SOGIESC Equality Bill and stand against all forms of discrimination. True freedom means ensuring that every individual, regardless of gender, identity, or expression, is respected and empowered.
DAKILA stands with workers across all sectors, advocating for fair labor practices, just compensation, and the end of contractualization. We believe in honoring the hard work that builds our nation by fighting for policies that support stable employment and uphold the dignity of every worker.

DAKILA defends fundamental human rights and democratic freedoms, especially in times when they are most threatened. We work to reclaim civic spaces and promote a human rights-based democratic reform agenda that empowers people to have a voice in shaping their society. For democracy to thrive, human rights must be at the forefront.
