We see climate change as a socio-political issue that impacts Filipinos’ lives, livelihoods, and lifestyles. Through our Climate Revolution program, we empower communities with initiatives like Climate School, the UnCoal Campaign, and Sustainability Dialogues. In 2015, we joined other groups in filing a petition with the Commission on Human Rights to investigate the human rights impact of climate change, marking the first global inquiry of its kind. We continue to advocate for holding polluters accountable and transitioning to renewable energy for a sustainable future rooted in human rights.
The Project Makiling Envi Heat Map is an interactive visual tool highlighting environmental hotspots across the Philippines. Designed as a comprehensive heat map, it provides information on environmental challenges, showcasing areas most affected by mining, reclamation, toxic waste management, and development aggression. The Project Makiling Envi Heat Map aims to raise awareness of critical environmental issues in the country and drive action for environmental justice.
