#25 Chiz Escudero

Francis Joseph Guevara Escudero, popularly known as Chiz (born on October 10, 1969 in Manila), is a politician. He has been the governor of Sorsogon since 2019.

Escudero was a senator of the Philippines from 2007 to 2019. Prior to that, he was the representative of the 1st District of Sorsogon from 1998 to 2007.

He ran and lost in the 2016 vice presidential race.

Escudero is the son of the late former agriculture secretary and congressman Salvador Escudero III. Escudero’s mother, Evelina Escudero, has been Sorsogon’s 1st District representative since 2013. She is also a House deputy speaker. | Rappler
