Juan Miguel Zubiri (born on April 13, 1969, in Makati City), popularly known as Migz, is a politician. He is a Philippine senator, serving since 2016.
Zubiri represented Bukidnon’s 3rd district for three terms before serving as senator during the administration of Benigno Aquino III. His victory was contested by Koko Pimentel, leading to his resignation in 2011 due to the allegations that he benefited from election fraud. Zubiri’s failed senatorial bid in 2013 under the United Nationalist Alliance slate caused the rift between Pimentel and UNA founder Jejomar Binay.
He is the son of Bukidnon Governor Jose Maria Zubiri Jr. and brother of Bukidnon 3rd District Representative Manuel Zubiri. | Rappler
